We collect very little data, and we use it to answer you.

Who we are

Binary Engineering ("we", "us") operates the website binary.engineering. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the site, why, and what your choices are.

Questions about privacy: privacy@binary.engineering.

What we collect

Contact form: your name, company, email address, the message you write, and the language of the page you used.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps. Our hosting provider records these in standard server logs for security and operation.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to measure our marketing campaigns. It sets cookies and sends usage data to Google, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. It does not run unless you accept the banner, and you can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Apart from this, the site does not use other advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data. Your language preference is stored in your browser so the site can remember it, and stays on your device.

How we use your data

To answer your inquiry and, if relevant, prepare a proposal or continue a business conversation.

To measure how the site and our campaigns perform, when you accept analytics.

To keep the site secure and working, and to meet our legal obligations.

Legal basis

Our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries, and steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement. For analytics and campaign measurement, we rely on your consent.

Who processes your data

We use Amazon Web Services to host the site and to send and deliver email, Google Workspace to receive and manage email, Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form from bots, and Google Analytics, when you accept it, to measure site usage. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.

We disclose personal data to others only when the law requires it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and in other countries. They apply contractual and technical safeguards for those transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and then delete or anonymize them. Server logs are kept by our providers for a limited period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, or object to how we use it.

Write to privacy@binary.engineering and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Security and children

We use HTTPS and access controls to protect data. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
